KATHMANDU: On the second trading day of the week today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by a single digit as well.
The NEPSE has decreased by 6.51 points today. Yesterday (Monday), however, NEPSE had decreased by 1.03 points. Having decreased by 0.23 percent compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE has stopped at the 2,724.39 mark.
On today’s day, the sensitive index also stopped at the 467.37 mark, having decreased by 0.68 points. On the basis of percentage, this is 0.14 percent less compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index decreased by 0.13 percent, and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.12 percent.
In the stock market on Tuesday, at least 7,816,478 shares were bought and sold in 45,519 times of transactions of 346 companies. According to this, a transaction of Rs 3.087 billion took place on Tuesday. On Monday, a transaction of Rs 2.45 billion had taken place.
In the stock market today, the share prices of 113 companies increased. While the share prices of 145 companies went downward, the share prices of 12 companies remained stable. In NEPSE today, while transactions of 13 groups took place, the indices of 4 groups increased while the indices of the remaining 9 groups went downward.
According to this, on Tuesday, the index of the Commercial Bank group decreased by 0.10 percent. The index of the Development Bank increased by 0.77 percent and the Finance group by 0.07 percent.
Similarly, the index of hotels and tourism decreased by 0.56 percent, hydropower by 0.50 percent, investment by 0.22 percent, life insurance by 0.22 percent, and the manufacturing and processing group by 0.67 percent.
While the index of the microfinance group increased by 0.12 percent, the index of the mutual fund group decreased by 0.21 percent.
Likewise, while the index of the Non-Life Insurance group increased by 0.56 percent, the index of the Others group decreased by 0.32 percent, and the sub-index of the Trading group decreased by 1.24 percent.
In NEPSE on Tuesday, the investors of Corporate Development Bank earned 14.26 percent. Similarly, the investors of City Hotel lost 6.84 percent of the share price.
On the basis of transaction amount as well, City Hotel itself remained in the foremost position. Today, a transaction of Rs 235.3 million of the City Hotel took place.
Similarly, on the basis of the number of shares traded, Prabhu Smart Fund remained ahead today. On Tuesday, 1,050,830 units of shares of this were bought and sold. Its final trading price, however, was maintained at Rs 12.98 per unit.
