NEPSE falls by 16.38 points despite rise in turnover

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 16.38 points on Friday, the final trading day of the week, even as daily turnover increased.

A total of 10,847,000 shares of 336 companies were traded, generating a turnover of Rs 4.482 billion.

Among the gainers, First Microfinance Laghubitta recorded the highest rise, with its share price surging by 14.81 percent. Shares of Mabilung Energy climbed 9.35 percent, while Bungal Hydro and Ankhukhola Hydropower gained 7.24 percent and 7.20 percent respectively.
