KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the published details, the buying rate for one US Dollar is fixed at Rs. 152.81, while the selling rate is Rs. 153.41.
Similarly, the buying rate for one European Euro stands at Rs. 177.31 with a selling rate of Rs. 178.00, and the UK Pound Sterling has been determined at Rs. 205.23 for buying and Rs. 206.04 for selling.
For other major currencies, the central bank has fixed the buying and selling rates of the Swiss Franc at Rs. 194.20 and Rs. 194.57, the Australian Dollar at Rs. 108.85 and Rs. 109.27, the Canadian Dollar at Rs. 110.76 and Rs. 111.19, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs. 119.34 and Rs. 119.81 respectively.
Furthermore, the buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs. 9.60 with a selling rate of Rs. 9.64, while one Chinese Yuan is trading at Rs. 22.59 for buying and Rs. 22.58 for selling. In the Gulf region, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is set at Rs. 40.72 buying and Rs. 40.88 selling, the Qatari Riyal at Rs. 41.94 buying and Rs. 42.10 selling, and the UAE Dirham at Rs. 41.61 buying and Rs. 41.77 selling.
Additionally, the Malaysian Ringgit stands at Rs. 38.51 buying and Rs. 38.66 selling, 100 South Korean Won is at Rs. 10.07 buying and Rs. 10.11 selling, and the Thai Baht is listed at Rs. 4.67 buying and Rs. 4.69 selling. For European Nordic currencies, the Swedish Kronor is priced at Rs. 16.31 buying and Rs. 16.37 selling, and the Danish Kroner stands at Rs. 23.71 buying and Rs. 23.80 selling.
For other high-value currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar is set at Rs. 498.08 for buying and Rs. 500.03 for selling, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs. 405.28 buying and Rs. 406.87 selling, and the Omani Riyal at Rs. 396.90 buying and Rs. 398.46 selling. The Hong Kong Dollar is fixed at Rs. 19.50 for buying and Rs. 19.58 for selling, while 100 Indian Rupees remains pegged at a buying rate of Rs. 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs. 160.15.
The central bank has noted that these exchange rates can be revised at any time based on market conditions, adding that rates offered by commercial banks may vary and the latest updates can be accessed on the official NRB website.
