NRB sets foreign exchange rates for Monday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Monday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 153.76, while the selling rate is Rs 154.36.

The buying rate for one Euro is Rs 175.89 and the selling rate is Rs 176.58. The British Pound Sterling has a buying rate of Rs 206.88 and a selling rate of Rs 207.68, while the Swiss Franc is set at Rs 190.44 for buying and Rs 191.18 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar is priced at Rs 107.36 (buying) and Rs 107.78 (selling), the Canadian Dollar at Rs 109.66 and Rs 110.09, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 119.04 and Rs 119.51, respectively.

The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese Yen are Rs 9.47 and Rs 9.51, while the Chinese Yuan is valued at Rs 22.69 (buying) and Rs 22.78 (selling). The Saudi Arabian Riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.94 for buying and Rs 41.10 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal stands at Rs 42.17 and Rs 42.34, respectively.

According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is priced at Rs 4.57 (buying) and Rs 4.59 (selling), the UAE Dirham at Rs 41.86 and Rs 42.03, the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 37.55 and Rs 37.69, and 100 South Korean Won at Rs 10.33 and Rs 10.37. The Swedish Krona has been set at Rs 15.94 (buying) and Rs 16.00 (selling), while the Danish Krone is valued at Rs 23.53 and Rs 23.62, respectively.

The Hong Kong Dollar has a buying rate of Rs 19.61 and a selling rate of Rs 19.69. The Kuwaiti Dinar is valued at Rs 500.03 for buying and Rs 501.98 for selling, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 407.74 and Rs 409.33, and the Omani Riyal at Rs 399.36 and Rs 400.91, respectively.

For the Indian Rupee, the exchange rate for INR 100 has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that commercial banks may quote different rates and that the latest exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
