MAHOTTARI:  Police have arrested Jayadev Sah, an inmate who had successfully escaped from the Sindhuli Jail during the recent Gen Z protest movement.

The 23-year-old fugitive, a resident of Aurahi Municipality-9 in Mahottari district, was previously being held in pre-trial detention at the Sindhuli Jail in connection with a drug smuggling and possession case.

Following a coordinated search operation, a police team tracked down and apprehended Sah from his home municipal area of Aurahi in Mahottari. He is currently in police custody for further legal processing.
