BANGKOK: The Nepali Embassy in Thailand has urged Nepali nationals staying illegally in Cambodia, including those involved in online scamming and other unlawful activities, to immediately stop such activities and return to Nepal.

In a public notice, the embassy also requested all Nepalis residing in Cambodia to submit their details through an online form by the evening of May 10, 2026, stating that only 221 individuals have registered so far.

The embassy said the collected information would help coordinate necessary support with Cambodian authorities and relevant agencies of the Nepal government.

It further appealed to people who were lured to Cambodia through false promises or trafficking networks to file complaints with Nepal Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau against the individuals or organizations responsible.
