KATHMANDU: The government of India has congratulated the people and government of Nepal for the successful and peaceful conduct of the recent elections, calling the process a significant moment in the country’s democratic journey.

In a message shared on social media, India praised voters for actively exercising their democratic rights and described the polls as a historic milestone for Nepal.

India also reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the people of Nepal and the incoming government, expressing hope for stronger cooperation and shared progress, peace, and prosperity between the two neighboring countries.
