KATHMANDU: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav held a courtesy meeting with Israel’s Ambassador to Nepal Shmulik Arie Bass on Friday at the Vice President’s Office in Lainchaur.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged greetings and discussed matters of bilateral relations, economic cooperation, labour migration, education, and training.
Vice President Yadav stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Israel on June 1, 1960, the two countries have maintained excellent ties based on friendship, goodwill, mutual understanding, and cooperation.
He also noted significant potential for expanding collaboration in areas such as the economy, trade, tourism, and investment.
He expressed confidence that identifying and utilizing such opportunities would bring mutual benefits to both countries.
Yadav thanked the Government of Israel for providing employment opportunities to Nepali workers.
He further appreciated Israel’s continued support for scholarships, vocational training, and capacity-building programs for Nepali students and professionals.
