KATHMANDU: Filming for the female-centric movie ‘Tika: Stateless Soul’ commenced Sunday in Pame, Kaski.
Out of a 40-day shooting schedule, 30 days will be spent across Gandaki Province locations—including Pokhara, Pame, Sarangkot, and Nirbhane—before moving to Kathmandu, with Executive Producer Tej Bikram KC noting these landscapes will bring the narrative to life.
Directed by Shankar Karki and produced by Bhavishya Khadka under Bhavishya Films Pvt. Ltd. and Third Eye Arts, the film is slated for release on September 11, coinciding with Teej.
It stars Priyanka Karki, Barsha Siwakoti, Mahesh Tripathi, Nirmal Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Reena Dhakal, Bibika Paudel, and Ayushi Dhakal.
The technical team features cinematographer Narendra Mainali, chief assistant directors Akash Ukheda and Jeeban Dhungel, and music composers Kali Prasad Baskota and Ketan Chhetri, based on a story by Shankar Karki and Chandan Jha with screenplay supervision by Biswas Timsina (BT Kanchha).
