KATHMANDU: Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal Dagny Mjøs joined the cast, crew and producers of the Nepali film ‘Elephants in the Fog’ this week to celebrate its award-winning run at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
The film made history by winning the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize and the Best Sound Creation Award at the festival. It is an international co-production involving Nepal, Norway, France, Germany and Brazil.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy congratulated director Abinash Bikram Shah, producer Anup Poudel and the entire production team, describing the film as an example of successful cross-border creative collaboration.
‘Elephants in the Fog’ is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Nepal on September 4.
