KATHMANDU: Following widespread media coverage and public criticism, traffic police have stepped up enforcement inside the Singha Durbar complex, placing wheel locks on vehicles parked in violation of traffic regulations.

The action comes after concerns were raised over widespread illegal parking within main administrative complex, where vehicles had been occupying footpaths and roadways, obstructing pedestrians and creating safety risks.
