DHAKA: Bangladesh has welcomed the US–Iran peace agreement, calling it a positive step toward stability in the Middle East.
The Foreign Ministry said Dhaka supports dialogue and hopes the deal will be fully implemented to restore regional peace and strengthen global cooperation.
The framework agreement, mediated by Pakistan, is expected to be formally signed in Switzerland later this week. Following the announcement, US President Donald Trump said the deal would reopen key oil routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, helping ease global oil markets.
