KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has dismissed rumors of internal party rifts as misleading, clarifying that the decision to reorganize the party is a unanimous conclusion within the leadership.
Speaking at a program at the party’s central office on Monday, Pokhrel emphasized that the party is focused on overcoming the challenges of populism, anarchism, and opportunism following a negative public mandate.
He labeled recent social media and news reports regarding internal conflicts as harmful propaganda, asserting that a dedicated task force is currently gathering feedback to review the last election result.
Pokharel stated that the party must move past the status quo, focusing its upcoming strategy on three core pillars: purification, strengthening, and a party renaissance.
