KATHMANDU: Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Danielle Meuwly held a courtesy meeting with Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokharel, discussing efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in the country.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on improving the quality, relevance, and employability outcomes of the TVET sector, with Switzerland reaffirming its continued support for skills development initiatives.

They also discussed the celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Switzerland, highlighting the long-standing partnership and cooperation in education, workforce development, and sustainable development.

The meeting underscored ongoing collaboration between the two countries in promoting technical education and enhancing employment opportunities through skills-based training programs.
