KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall, floods, and landslides have blocked several major highways across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, completely halting traffic in multiple districts.

According to Nepal Police, full blockages are reported along the Mechi Highway in Ilam and Taplejung, the Araniko Highway in Sindhupalchok, and roads in Nuwakot, Baglung, Gorkha, Arghakhanchi, and Rolpa.

Additionally, authorities have preemptively suspended traffic on the BP Highway in Kavre and the Kanti Lokpath in Makwanpur due to safety risks, while the Mid-Hill Highway in Bhojpur is limited to single-lane traffic.

The public is urged to check for road updates from local police or the Department of Roads before traveling.
