Education Bill to be introduced soon to address long-term issues, says Education Minister Pokharel

KATHMANDU: Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education, Sasmit Pokharel, has shared that the School Education Bill will be introduced soon to address long-term problems in the sector.

Speaking to journalists at Bharatpur Airport in Chitwan on Thursday, he informed that the School Education Bill is being brought forward to address potential challenges in the education sector for the next 50 years.

He stated that the bill will incorporate modern developments in technology and the growing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He also shared that a task force has already been formed and has commenced work to completely restructure the entire school curriculum across Nepal.

According to him, programs related to teacher training have also been moved forward to enhance educational quality.

Minister Pokharel mentioned that programs have been advanced to allocate budgets based solely on identifying the actual needs of schools.

Minister Pokharel arrived in Chitwan for an on-site inspection of universities, campuses, and schools in the district.
