SINDHULI: Five people were injured when a jeep carrying a wedding party crashed in Dudhauli Municipality on Thursday morning, police said.

The vehicle, carrying 10 people including the groom, lost control on a curved road section in Ranges, Dudhauli-1, while heading toward Udayapur.

Police said the groom, Hem Bahadur B.K., escaped unharmed, while others were injured.

One person, Yog Bahadur Khatri, is in critical condition and referred to Sindhuli Hospital. Others are receiving treatment at Sirthauli Hospital.

Preliminary reports suggest the accident was caused by high speed on a bend. An investigation is underway.
