KATHMANDU: Minister for Health, Population and Drinking Water Nisha Mehta held a courtesy meeting with Japan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Maeda Toru.
The meeting, held today at the ministry in Singha Durbar, focused on making bilateral cooperation in the health sector between the two countries more sustainable and effective, according to Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, the ministry’s joint spokesperson.
Dr Adhikari said the discussions also included in-depth deliberations on the modernization of health services in Nepal.
During the meeting, Minister Mehta expressed appreciation for Japan’s continued support to Nepal’s social and economic development, and reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the days ahead, Dr Adhikari added.
