KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has raised concern over the public transport strike that began after Gandaki Province legalized ride-sharing services.

In a statement released on Monday, the NHRC urged transport operators not to disrupt essential services, stressing the impact on citizens’ rights.

It called for alternative protest methods and urged the government to consult stakeholders and resolve issues through dialogue.
