KATHMANDU: Currently Nepal is experiencing partial influence of westerly winds along with local winds.  

Recently the hilly and mountain regions of Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces are generally cloudy, and the rest of the regions are partly cloudy. 

According to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces are experiencing thunderstorms with lightning and light rainfall.

The Division states that the Terai region is partly cloudy, while the hilly and mountain regions, as well as Koshi Province, are mostly cloudy.  

There is a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in certain hilly and mountainous parts of the remaining provinces, along with one or two places in the Terai region of Koshi Province. There is also a possibility of snowfall.

Similarly, tonight the mountain region will be mostly cloudy, the hilly region is partly cloudy and in the Terai region, the weather will remain clear. 

In some areas of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly regions, there is a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning, along with snowfall.
