KATHMANDU: Following a two-day national workshop in Kathmandu, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has issued a 10-point resolution focused on modernizing the party structure and engaging with the youth.

The party has made it mandatory for organized members to renew their memberships in person via an online portal, with each organized member tasked to recruit at least three new members.

Embracing the slogan “Right Time, UML Time,” the party plans to launch a digital revolution by utilizing science, technology, and social media.

To bridge the generational gap, committees at all levels will host interactive dialogue programs targeting the children of party-affiliated families.

Additionally, the party aims to revitalize its voter base, restructure local and central organizations around community-specific issues, and mobilize its Central Contact Coordination Committee to boost political efficacy in the Kathmandu Valley.

UML will also expand its outreach to the diaspora by forming overseas youth groups through social media, seeking to actively leverage the skills, expertise, and experiences of young Nepalis living abroad.
