JANAKPUR: The cabinet in Madhesh Province has been expanded.

Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav has inducted Mohammad Samir of the CPN (UML) into the cabinet, appointing him as a minister without portfolio.

Following the inclusion of the UML in the provincial government, the Chief Minister has dismissed three ministers representing the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).

The newly appointed minister, Samir, took his oath of office and secrecy before the Province head.

Chief Minister Yadav stated that the JSP was removed from the government and the UML was brought in based on necessity and relevance.

He is scheduled to take a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly tomorrow.

Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav informed that preparations are underway to reduce the number of cabinet members as well as some government offices.
