DANG: Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya reshuffled the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, appointing five new ministers just after four ministers from the CPN (UML) tendered their resignations.
Chief Minister Acharya reconstituted the cabinet by submitting recommendations to the Province Head in accordance with Article 168, Clause (9) of the Constitution of Nepal.
The newly formed cabinet includes four ministers from the CPN (UML) and one from the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), effectively filling the vacuum left by yesterday’s resignations.
Among the new inductions from the UML, Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary has been given the portfolio for the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives.
Meanwhile, Ramji Prasad Ghimire has been appointed as the Health Minister, Ratna Bahadur Khatri takes charge of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, and Dilli Raj Bhusal has been assigned the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation.
Additionally, Bhandari Lal Ahir of the JSP has been handed the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.
He replaces Aadesh Kumar Agrawal, also from the JSP, who previously held the portfolio.
