KATHMANDU: General discussions on the budget for the upcoming fiscal year are scheduled to begin in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, under the second session of the Federal Parliament.

According to the daily agenda published by the Parliament Secretariat, the general discussion on the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2026/027 will commence during the 16th meeting, which sits at 1:00 PM today, Monday.

As per the schedule, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will address the meeting and present a proposal stating, “that the general discussion on the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2026/27 be initiated.”

Following the presentation of the proposal by the Finance Minister, the general discussion on the annual estimates will officially begin in the House.
