KATHMANDU: The closed session of the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s first general convention in Chitwan has been rescheduled to begin at 1:00 PM today after resolving representative disputes and beginning ID card distribution.
Although originally planned for yesterday morning, technical issues and poor preparation forced delays, drawing frustration from attendees over the sweltering heat and added hotel expenses, which representatives must pay for themselves.
Party leaders, including General Secretaries Kabindra Burlakoti and Bhupadev Shah, acknowledged the management shortcomings as part of a learning curve for their first convention.
Despite the setbacks involving over 4,000 participants, voting for contested positions is still expected to commence this evening immediately following the conclusion of the closed session.
