KATHMANDU: As vote counting in the House of Representatives election continues, final results from 30 constituencies had been announced as of 8:00 am on Saturday.
According to the declared results, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured the highest number of seats so far, winning 22 constituencies. The Nepali Congress (NC) has won five seats, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) two, and the CPN-UML one seat.
The RSP has emerged victorious in 22 constituencies, including Chitwan-2, where party president Rabi Lamichhane won, and several constituencies across Kathmandu (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10). The party also won in Banke-1 and 3, Morang-4 and 6, Kaski-2 and 3, Syangja-1, Rupandehi-4, Mahottari-1, Dhanusha-3, and Bhaktapur-1.
The Nepali Congress has won in Tehrathum, Rasuwa, Manang, Mustang, and Dailekh-1.
Similarly, NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected from Rukum, while Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has won from Kalikot.
Meanwhile, the CPN (UML) has registered its first victory through Mohammad Istiyaq Rai, who won from Banke-2
