KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has nominated Mamata Sharma (Bara) as a member of the party’s central committee.

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa nominated Sharma to the central committee post today, following her decision to leave the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and join the Nepali Congress.

According to Krishna Prasad Dulal, the Acting Chief Secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Office, President Thapa appointed Sharma to the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee in accordance with the provisions of Article 4, Sub-clause (10) (E) of the Nepali Congress Constitution, 2017 (including amendments).
