National Assembly to meet today for Appropriations Bill and budget discussion

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly of the Federal Parliament is scheduled to meet today at 12:15 PM at Singha Durbar.

Ministers from various portfolios—including Industry, Agriculture, Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Defence, as well as representatives from the Prime Minister’s and President’s offices—will respond to questions raised by lawmakers regarding the Appropriations Bill, 2026.

During the session, the Assembly Chairperson will put forward proposed expenditure cuts for a vote.

Additionally, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle is slated to present proposals to pass the Appropriations Bill, 2026, and seek consideration for the Finance Bill, 2026, and the National Debt Collection Bill, 2026, all of which were received with messages from the House of Representatives.
