KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal, widely known as Prachanda, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has been admitted to hospital after developing pneumonia.

According to his personal secretary Govinda Acharya, Dahal was admitted to Mediciti Hospital on Saturday for treatment.

Acharya said the former prime minister had been experiencing health problems for the past three days before being hospitalized.
