CHITWAN: Newly elected Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chairman Rabi Lamichhane has pledged to provide more mature and responsible leadership, stating that current political circumstances afford him “no luxury to be immature.”
Addressing the RSP’s first general convention in Chitwan after being elected unopposed, Lamichhane vowed to uphold public trust and lead the party in a liberal, democratic manner.
He asserted that no citizen, media house, or international community should feel intimidated by the RSP’s political presence, adding that the party will constructively address public scrutiny rather than evade it.
Lamichhane also warned against deviating from the principle of separation of powers, cautioning that repeating the flawed practices of past rulers would severely damage the country and future generations.
