KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has officially approved the preparatory schedule for its first general convention.
The party’s Central Election Commission has already briefed the provincial and district presidents regarding the approved timeline.
According to the schedule, election committees must be formed in all 77 districts and seven provinces by May 29. Similarly, reports from local and district conventions will be collected by June 3, and the final district convention and election reports must be submitted by June 13.
Furthermore, Ram Gurung, the deputy chief of the Central Election Commission, informed that the list of convention delegates will be submitted by June 8. Details of the officials elected in the provincial conventions will be presented by June 19, alongside discussions regarding electronic voting.
RSP has scheduled its first general convention to take place in Chitwan from June 21 to June 23.
