Five Indian tourists rescued after boat gets stranded in Phewa Lake

POKHARA: Five Indian nationals stranded on a wooden boat in Phewa Lake after sudden strong winds and waves swept across the lake were rescued safely by the Armed Police Force on Thursday afternoon.

According to Armed Police Force spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa, the rescue operation was launched immediately after authorities received information that the group had become stranded in the lake.

A rescue team deployed from the Phewa Lake Watch and Rescue Tower under the command of Armed Police Assistant Sub Inspector Devendra KC carried out the successful operation and brought all five individuals to safety.
