BHOJPUR: Residents of Lungin in Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality-2 have been connected to the national electricity grid for the first time, ending years of reliance on traditional lighting sources.
The expansion was completed through the coordination of the local ward office and relevant authorities, extending power access to nearly all households in the area.
According to ward office, the project is expected to improve education, healthcare, communication, and small-scale businesses. Locals have welcomed the development, saying electricity has made household work easier, improved children’s studies, and supported cottage industries and digital services.
The local government has pledged to continue efforts to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the region.
