KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Sunday hosted an official farewell ceremony for the national cricket team as they prepare to depart for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series.
CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, Vice President Roshan Singh, and Secretary Paras Khadka extended their best wishes to the squad.
The highly anticipated tri-series, featuring Nepal, Namibia, and the host nation, the Netherlands, is set to commence on July 21.
The 15-member primary squad is led by captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, with Dipendra Singh Airee serving as the vice-captain.
The team includes players such as leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Aarif Sheikh, and Sompal Kami.
The main roster is rounded out by Ishan Pandey, Gulshan Jha, Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, Lalit Rajbanshi, Bhim Sharki, Arjun Kumal, and Binod Bhandari.
Additionally, CAN has named five reserve players on standby: Sundeep Jora, Shahab Alam, Hemanta Dhami, Aakash Chand, and Yubraj Khatri.
