KATHMANDU: The International Open Friendly Taekwondo Championships (IOFTC) Nepal chapter has bid farewell to Nepali teams participating in three upcoming international taekwondo competitions, providing official tracksuits ahead of their departure.

Prabin Shrestha, Sandesh Adhikari, and Ganesh Bahadur Khadka will compete in the Japan WATA Open from April 24 to 26, with Giri Bahadur Sunar serving as team leader. Sandip Neupane and Diwakar KC are set to participate in the Malaysia Open from May 2 to 3.

For the Hainan International Open Championship in China, scheduled from May 2 to 5, Vision Tamang, Sandip Basnet, and Ayush Bohara will compete, while Indraraj Khadka will join as an official.

The farewell program was attended by IOFTC Nepal President Min Prasad Khanal and other officials. The organization, headquartered in the United States, previously hosted its 15th edition in Nepal in December 2025 and is preparing for its 16th edition in Melbourne later this year.
