KATHMANDU: A Russian mountaineering expedition organized by the “7 Summits Club” has successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nepal confirmed.
The expedition, led by veteran Russian climber Alexander Abramov, successfully reached the highest point on Earth (8,848.86 meters) this week.
With this successful summit, expedition leader Alexander Abramov has achieved a rare mountaineering milestone, marking his 13th successful ascent of Mount Everest.
The Russian Embassy in Kathmandu extended its official congratulations to Abramov and the entire climbing team for their successful summit push during the ongoing spring climbing season.
