KATHMANDU: Danish climbers Jakob Urth and Regine Mai successfully summited Mount Everest on May 20, 2026, accompanied by climbing guides Ngima Ongda Sherpa and Phurba Nurbu Sherpa.

Urth, a veteran Himalayan expedition leader known for guiding climbers on peaks including Aconcagua and Kilimanjaro, completed another Everest ascent during the expedition.

Regine Mai, a yoga and meditation instructor from Denmark, successfully reached the summit on her first Everest expedition. Both climbers were congratulated for their successful ascent and endurance during the climb.
