KATHMANDU: Currently, monsoonal winds are influencing the entire country. The monsoon trough is positioned slightly above its average location.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is generally cloudy across the country.

Light to moderate rain is currently occurring in a few places within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the Madhesh province.

The weather will remain mostly cloudy throughout the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts of the mountainous regions.

Many areas in the hilly regions and some places in the Terai plains are also likely to experience light to moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning.

Furthermore, heavy rain is possible in one or two locations within the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in both the hilly and Terai terrains of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.

The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide. There is a chance of light to moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in a few places within the mountainous regions.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning is predicted for many areas in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, alongside some parts of the hilly areas in Karnali and the hilly/Terai regions of Sudurpashchim province.

Additionally, heavy rainfall is possible in a few places within the hilly regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi province and the Terai plains of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
