One person died today after slipping while observing the Rupse waterfall in Annapurna rural municipality-3.

The deceased has been identified as Basant Bhandari,56, of Budhanilkanth Municipality-1, Kathmandu, according to the District Police Office, police inspector Kiran Lama.

Bhandari suffered serious head injuries after slipping and falling down 30 meters and was declared dead upon reaching Beni Hospital. The waterfalls is one of the major attractions for travelers on the Beni-Jomsom road.
