KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has reported that the country is currently experiencing the partial impact of western winds and a low-pressure system.

According to the Division, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

Light rain, accompanied by lightning, is currently affecting some areas in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces, while mist and fog are present in parts of the Terai.

The weather is forecasted to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in various hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, light snowfall is expected in higher hilly and mountainous areas.

The weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

Light rain with thunder and lightning could occur in some areas of the hilly regions, and light snowfall is also possible in the high hilly and mountainous areas.
