KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated that westerly and local winds are currently influencing the weather conditions in the country.

The division reports that the weather is partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country remains partly cloudy to predominantly clear.

This afternoon, light rain, along with thunder and lightning, is likely in certain areas of the hilly regions in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as in a few spots across the rest of the country.

In addition, there is a chance of light rain and snowfall in some high-altitude and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces, while the rest of the country will enjoy mostly clear skies.
