KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives is scheduled to endorse the government’s annual policies and programs today (Sunday).

President Ram Chandra Paudel had presented the policy and program during a joint session of the federal parliament on May 2.

As the document nears final approval, the ruling CPN-UML has issued a whip instructing all its lawmakers to be present and vote in support. Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula emphasized the importance of full participation in the decision-making process.

Debate on the policy and program concluded on Friday. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expected to respond to lawmakers’ concerns today before the voting takes place.
