KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives is taking place today at 11 a.m. at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
The meeting is scheduled to carry on with discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, excluding tax proposals.
Earlier, the government’s policy and program for fiscal year 2082/83, presented by President Ram Chandra Poudel in a joint session of both Houses, was approved by majority votes in both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Sunday.
Today’s meeting will also include a decision on the notice of opposition filed by MP Prem Suwal against the proposal to introduce the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2082.
Meanwhile, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balaram Adhikari is scheduled to formally present the bill in the House.
