KATHMANDU: The list of films to be screened at the Nepal–America International Film Festival 2025, held annually in Maryland, USA, has been released.
Among the featured films are Shambhala, directed by Min Bahadur Bham, which was part of the main competition at last year’s Berlin Film Festival; Pooja Sir (Rajaganj), directed by Deepak Rauniyar and premiered at the Venice Film Festival; and Bhuthan: The World’s Happiest Man, directed by Binod Paudel and produced within the Nepali diaspora in the United States.
The festival, scheduled to take place from June 26 to 29, will showcase a total of 31 films—including feature films, documentaries, short films, and animations—from 15 countries including Nepal, the USA, Iran, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.
According to organizers, screenings will be held over four days at both the AFI Silver Theatre and the Greenbelt Cinema Theatre in Maryland.
