KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case at the Special Court against Pradip Pariyar, former Chief Administrative Officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), along with six other officials.
The case concerns alleged irregularities in the contract process for sewer construction under the Samakhusi Corridor project.
The CIAA has demanded the recovery of over NPR 43.1 million from Pariyar, who currently serves as Director General of the Department of Information and Broadcasting.
The other accused include KMC directors Rabinman Shrestha, Shivaraj Adhikari, Basanta Acharya, Namaraj Dhakal, assistant director Uttam Dahal, and engineer Janardan Giri.
