BARA: A six-member delegation of loan shark victims, led by struggle committee coordinator Awadhesh Kushwaha, has departed for Kathmandu to finalize a draft agreement with the government.

Prepared during late-night discussions at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday in the presence of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung, the draft aims to provide a long-term solution to predatory lending by declaring it an economic evil, voiding fraudulent deeds, and establishing legal safeguards for victims.

While the talks team seeks a final resolution in the capital, protesting farmers and laborers remain stationed in Nijgadh, Bara, and have announced that their future course of action will be decided once the delegation returns with a final outcome.
