KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has issued a public notice requesting journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak to present himself at the Cyber Bureau or the nearest police station at the earliest opportunity.

The request, made on Tuesday, comes amid an ongoing investigation into alleged cybercrime charges against Pathak.

A warrant had previously been issued in his name. However, the Patan High Court, on Monday, issued a short-term interim order directing authorities not to arrest him.

The case is linked to a YouTube report published by Pathak, in which he alleged that Jaiveer Deuba, son of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, had made investments in the Hilton Hotel.

The Deuba family later filed a formal complaint with the Cyber Bureau, prompting the current legal proceedings.
