KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has announced a by-election in Rupandehi Constituency-3 for the vacant seat in the House of Representatives.

The vote will be held on Kartik 17, 2082 (November 3, 2025), which falls on a Monday.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Election Commission on Monday, following the death of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Deepak Bohora, who was elected from Rupandehi-3 in the 2022 general elections.

Bohora passed away on Chaitra 19 (April 1), leading to the vacancy.

Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari informed that the by-election has been scheduled in accordance with Section 68 of the House of Representatives Election Act, 2017.
