PM Oli returning home after attending UN Conference in Spain

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who had been on a visit to Spain to participate in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, is returning to Nepal today.

According to the Department of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at 3:45 PM today.

Leading the Nepali delegation, Prime Minister Oli had departed for Spain on Saturday, June 28.

During his stay in Spain, Prime Minister Oli held talks with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

He also held a bilateral meeting with the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Additionally, PM Oli met with the President of Estonia Alar Karis, Prime Minister of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, and Prime Minister of Portugal Luís Montenegro.

Prime Minister Oli addressed the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development. He also chaired the high-level meeting of Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

Furthermore, he actively participated in various discussion sessions. The Nepali delegation led by PM Oli also took part in several side events, including high-level discussions on new approaches in development aid.

Just this Thursday, he visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of the world-renowned football club Real Madrid in Madrid.

He also inspected the Nepali Embassy in Spain and held interactions with members of the Nepali community there.

A short while ago, Prime Minister Oli departed from Madrid, Spain, for Doha, Qatar.
