KATHMANDU: Sarlahi District Court has issued an arrest warrant against JSP Madhes Province Chair Ashok Kumar Yadav for verbally abusing SP Yogendra Khadka over the phone.

Their heated exchange regarding alleged irregularities at the Infrastructure Development Office went viral on social media.

Police tried to arrest Yadav at his Salimpur residence Thursday night, but his supporters blocked them and vandalized a police vehicle.

Yadav claims he was raising public concerns and is being targeted.

JSP Sarlahi has condemned the police action and demanded an apology from the SP.
